caffeine like most drugs will give you diminishing returns with repeated use, so best to use it sporadically or you'll find yourself chugging monsters every day to stay awake.
The sugar free monsters do bits and don't leave that nasty feeling on your teeth
Monster Absolute Zero is great, since you don't also get the blood sugar spike (and subsequent crash) from drinking a bunch of high fructose corn syrup. Drink a fuckton of water with that stuff, though, and be prepared to get up and piss every half hour.
It's Ultra White and Mule for me. Yeaa I always forget how much of a difference not having the sugar crash makes when I've not had a normal one in a while
put your tongue between your lower teeth and lip and then you can drink stuff without getting it on your teeth
:this: I encourage anyone who feels dependent on caffeine to give midday naps a try if able, those have occasionally given me a boost similar to caffeine without all the downsides. Plus your caffeine tolerance will remain low so you can still use it to get high
What if I told you that won't last more then a few weeks as your neuro chemistry starts to expect the monster energy drink in your system. Reminder that caffeine takes a while to get out of your system and even longer for your brain to return to a pre caffeine state up to 6months for heavy users. :fidel-cool:
Also if you wean yourself off of caffeine you get massive migraines.
A cup of tea helps my migraines but they're from sleep apnea so it might be different?
You could but the irritability of caffeine withdrawa even at low doses feels bad, also I guess I cant say shit because I'm doing 2 cups of coffee a day plus 3 10mg of adderal a day. :oh-shit:
Do not, my friend, become addicted to caffeine. It will take hold of you, and you will resent its absence!
Wait, really? I've also never felt anything from caffeine or honestly any drug. How does that work?
Well for caffine specifically people with adhd tend to feel relaxed by it. There there other situations it could be depending on thr drug and what neurotransmitters are involved. There are a few catagories of situation that affect dopamine specifically sondepening on the substance that could also be like that.
i've become addicted enough to caffeine that if I go without it I get intense headaches. So if I'm having trouble falling asleep, paradoxically a small amount of caffeine helps because it makes the headache go away.
Bestie, are you happy with your life otherwise? Cause we could have a conversation. But if you are doing fine there is no need.
Stimulants affect about 10% of the population with an opposite effect, but I'm not entirely sure it is always with ADHD. My meds and caffeine definitely wake me up, but I also definitely have ADHD lol
Relaxed and/or more focused. It usually doesn't last very long, unfortunately, and you still build up tolerance. And then get all of the withdrawal symptoms if you stop chugging coffee/caffeinated soda/whatever for a day or two.
Painkillers, alcohol, sleeping pills, muscle relaxants, etc seem to have no effect on me unless I take far too much. Never tried any recreational drugs
For how normalized it is, yea it's a pretty strong drug. It fucks me up
It's great when used moderately but your tolerance and need for it gets bad with constant use. If you do it everyday for weeks the one day you don't do it yourself gonna feel off, possibly even have headaches or even slight soreness. I only drink caffeine now when I really need it. I actually like Matcha since it's low in caffeine and has other stimulating properties. The flavor is not for everyone tho
I became kind of caffeine dependent during the writing of my novel series. I don't do it to get buzzed or crunk or whatever; I have just enough to focus.
Lol just a warning, it doesn't stay like that, I mean I drink coffee every day and it does help and I love it but if you drink it every day you'll get addicted and need it to function
I need to drink so much of it to feel functional that I give myself anxiety and make my heart race
Don't be like me, folks
I've cut back and I'm down to about a cup - 2 cups a day depending on how I'm feeling. But yes it's easy to get to that level where you're drinkingm3-5 cups a day lol or more
I've heard recently that its common for people with ADHD to feel either nothing or tired from caffeine.
Should I make an effort to quit caffeine (at least one cup of joe a day) or do I accept my addiction and energy on demand.
I’m trying to ween myself off because I don’t want to be caught off-guard by the coming coffee shortages.
In the coming years climate change will wreck coffee production and distribution.
Yeah it's used in pro sports and even bodybuilding all the time
Yeah had a homie overdo it with his creatine and other pre-workout and had the jitters really bad and his hear rate was outta control lol. He never made that mistake again
you just tried caffeine for the first time? It's gonna have diminishing returns
t. still sleepy on the 3rd cup of coffee.
Caffeine pills are cheaper and healthier than energy drinks when used properly. Also, L-theanine takes the edge off heavier doses of caffeine.
