I work in a grocery store and I don’t think they have any consideration for other people, let alone those of us who have to deal with nonsense like this.
this is true, but shouldn't manufacturers just put a paper seal on the top of the ice cream? they do that for jars of peanut butter and such. I think this is just to make shoplifting more annoying
Don't ice cream cartons, Ben and Jerrys included, usually have plastic seals (As in rings around the top you need to cut with scissors) anyway? Does that vary by state or something?

I think unsuspecting future customers forget to check for a seal, even if one was there previously.
