    Quarantine is the term used for potentially infected people.

    FALSE! The word quarantine comes from the Latin "quarentina" meaning a 40-day period. It can absolutely refer to someone with an infection who is isolating to prevent the spread of that infection, but only if they do so for exactly 40 days. If it's any other length of time, then any time someone uses the word "quarantine" I will be there to correct them and call them long-nosed liars!
