Baldness is actually X-linked, you don't inherit it from your dad. You want to be looking at any maternal uncles and great uncles to determine your fate.

I mean, with most things genetically dependent it's more complicated than just A or B, but androgen receptors are on the X chromosome. Baldness basically depends on a couple main things, the rate in which the body converts testosterone to DHT and the DHT affinity of certain binding sites in the follicle. People can still definitely experience androgenic alopecia to varying degrees regardless of that specific X-linked gene, but on balance the mother's brothers and mother's mother's brothers are pretty solid predictors.

It's from the X chromosome, so speaking entirely in terms of sex, that means the mother had it and inherited it from their mother or father or both. If it was their mother, then uncles would have either a 50:50 or 100% chance of having it. If it was their father, then the father would definitely have it.

So look at maternal grandpa and uncles. Again, entirely by sex, not gender.
