I stopped doing so much shit I enjoyed because of passing comments and minor ridicule from peers and adults and for the longest time I thought it was because I was weak or easily influenced. Now I realized I was just 5 years old and having a weak ego is part of being 5. Patriarchy will literally bully children and then convince them to blame themselves for it
