Back in the day there'd be periods where the entire site was at each other's throats, and it would spill into every thread, and eventually the mods would just go in and crack down and ban a ton of people. Things have stabled out since then. Current iteration of the mod team is a lot better at handling conflicts imo, and the site has just gotten a lot more uniform in its identty, everyone basically knows what they're here for at this point.
Make a user union post about it and @ me. But be frikken civil about it. I would like to hear what the original ban was for because I saw "ban evasion" in the modlog but didn't see a connection to the original acct they were referring to and would like to hear the justification.
How does this happen so often? I've been here since week 2 or so and have only switched accounts once (so I could put my name in the username)
But I'm super conflict-averse, one time I got in an argument on this site and cried a little followed by dm-ing an apology to the person I argued with
