Ideally people would just communicate these sentiments? Shocking idea I know ✨
For example, when I say I "added something to my backlog" for instance, it means I actually literally did. It's no guarantee that the book(Hi Unjust Depths, I plan on you) or w/e won't end up lost in the backlog for however long, but it means I had enough interest to want to keep the thing around.
For me, when it comes to someone talking to or messaging me I will almost never not reply, and if I stop replying it means I think the conversation is over. But normals gonna normal Ig!
Yeah I will say though not everyone who fucks up about this is NT like I know ND people with social phobia who dont want to say no. Or ADHD means they just see it and forget lol. But yes I agree people communicating these things would be a big help.
Idk ive run into a lot of difficulties with ND to ND miscommunication along these lines so its weird. Like ideally I agree with you but I think some people struggle with it.
Doesn't really surprise me either tbh, there are ND people that do social shenanigans akin to those typically associated with NTs. I had hoped ages ago that other autistic people would be easier to get on with, but uh

I don't see why they don't communicate these things, like just be honest??
