    Honestly, good.

He shouldn't even be running and I don't care about him either way.

He's brought out the worst in my neighbors too...

Nothing's gonna happen, though. State dems are gonna keep throwing weak stuff at Trump until the election, he'll keep easily wriggling his way out. The system was designed by and for people like Trump. There's no reason to believe yet another performative attempt by dems to wield power will result in anything.

all that a criminal prosecution of Trump would accomplish is further vindication and further underdog popularity. If you actually don't like Trump and don't want him as president, you shouldn't want a bunch of half-assed document crimes that nobody cares about to be the impetus to taking him down because it won't work and will only make him stronger and more untouchable in the future.

It's very obvious to all Americans that the prosecutions are politically driven and pretty much shams. If they were actual criminal investigations that mattered it wouldn't be over document crimes and it wouldn't be 4 years after the fact during the election season. The cynical, rigged nature of this will further empower the right because Democrats will try to rig shit but in a half-assed way where they lose power again soon anyway.

I'm all for the left playing hard and dirty against the reactionaries, the "we go high they go low" shit is stupid. But let's not pretend Democrats have it in them to actually do so. They are cowards and won't be able to seal the deal and secure power, they will fuck around and not gain much in permanent power and further delegitimize themselves and legitimize the right.

sure but this concerns the soft-coup shit, which i think should should be seen (and i think mostly is still seen) as serious.

the dems sat on their hands on this shit for years (how is AZ looking into this now lol) to make sure that Trump would be the nominee and the prosecutions would be in time to sink the republicans in the general. whether or not that was a smart play remains to be seen, but I think the forum undersells how poor the dems/biden might fare against a non-Trump candidate. in retrospect dems should've started the clock at least a bit earlier, obvs.

        Eh, idc

Trump deserves it. I want at least one politician that gets what they deserve and, plus, it means more infighting for the bourgeoisie which is good news for us.

sure is weird how all these 7000 criminal investigations ALL took until election season 2024 to begin in earnest. Like Dems aren't even trying to make it look like a normal investigation.

I've never done a crime and then got to be free for 4 years before cops even start investigations into me

The scandal is not that the investigations are some kind of electoral interference, the scandal is that the dems are such cowards that it took them four years to start trying to make Trump accountable to bourgeois law, a thing billionaires are usually exempt from.
