The grind is honestly not bad at all. There is one particular questline that is like 60 quests long which can be a PITA, but other than that its enjoyable.
i can't speak on the controller part but i pushed to level 50 pretty easily
yeah the game was made with PS3/4 in mind so there's native controller support even on the PC version
can you only play with people in other worlds if you pay the fee?
Maybe? They might do that to prevent botters going to other worlds - but if you're on the same datacenter you can swap and play easily
