Someday, we will have a global civilization that genuinely looks like something out of star trek. No one will want for any basic human needs, and freedom to be creative and contribute to humanity will be normal.
It might take centuries, and unless I get very lucky I won't be there to see it, but I feel like it's the natural end state for all of us.
