yeah it was a great show. i particularly liked how
spoiler
they teased at the start and throughout about the rich shitheads getting their comeuppance like this sort of show would normally do so everyone can feel better about the whole thing, but at the end just showed how completely immune to the consequences of their actions this class of people all are despite all the devastation they wreaked on everyone else
I loved Murray Bartlett's queer, drug-addled Basil Fawlty, but the script was also really thoughtful and tight. And yeah there's been a ton of A-tier television lately and that's one of the good ones.
Legit the better show about the mega rich than Succession but doesn't seem as popular for some reason.
Succession
I saw the first episode after seeing people talk about it on here. It seems incredibly dumb :hopium: like it’s just a bunch of rich people being mad at each other because their contracts suck? Not sure I want to watch 3 seasons of this
Yeah, I had loads of people tell me it was the best thing since sliced Sopranos so I watched it and it's just like, unlikeable (but not interesting or love-to-hate) rich arseholes having try-hard dialogue in massively washed out mansions and boardrooms and I checked the fuck out, guess it's just not for me :shrug-outta-hecks:
I do not understand why people like that show. People fucking love it though, people with normally good taste too.
Yeah, I'm equally confused. It's made by one of the Peep Show guys too and that show is great but I just find it boring and irritating to varying degrees.
Glad you liked it! Michael Imperioli will star in season 2 so I am excited..
