Yeah maybe going to either one of your places to talk for hours on the first date might be expecting a bit much for sure. Like that makes sense if there's something really special happening but (at least where I live) most first dates are intentionally pretty neutral unless the explicit intention is to hook up.
They say a lot of what generates desire to go on subsequent dates is excitement.
