They're both aware of one level of social relationship and it's a transactional one even if they like the idea of their audience or he likes his owner. The parasociality is when there's a one-sided fantasy relationship built on top of that which the other side either doesn't know about or doesn't accept. Sasha knows he's Sasha but he doesn't know he's the Marshal of the Democratic People's Republic of Sashatown. That only exists for my benefit because I'm pathologically white, and his participation in it is the same as if I screenshotted that youtuber doing one thing and photoshopped them into doing something else.
