Hit me with your thoughts I have none yet. :blob-no-thoughts:
Yes, I will watch The Devil Is A Part-Timer Season 2.
Yes, I will like it.
Yes, my taste is shit.
I honestly liked season 1 but people seem apprehensive about this season because of style changes. I'm optimistic because the studio has a really consistent track record of quality. Princess Principal was fantastic, Sword Art Online:Alternative is literally the only SAO worth watching, Dimension W is bad source material that they executed really well, and Flip Flappers isn't my thing but can't argue the studio didn't do it well.
Given their record I don't think it'll be as bad as people think. The only thing I think worth worrying about is I hear this part of the source material is pretty weak.
I think the most exciting things for me are TWO new shows from Science Saru, including a pseudo-sequel to Tatami Galaxy~!
If you wanna watch me ramble on, I made a next season breakdown video !
Interesting thoughts. I noticed you glossed over Lycoris Recoil, which I think is worth a look alongside the other anime original Bucchigire. I try to keep an eye out for these anime-original shows that aren't based on any source because they're usually things that studios put a huge amount of effort into since they're their own creative efforts entirely. Doesn't mean they always get it right but usually worth paying attention to.
Some friends of mine are planning on trying Lycoris Recoil, so I'm starting to have my own interest piqued too... Bucchigire as well I should try to feel out, but I haven't heard anything about it. I agree that anime originals ought to get attention, cause you really never know~ Could get a banger like Odd Taxi!
Bucchigire is the same studio that did Golden Kamuy and Kokkoku. They don't have any history with writing their own stuff though so who knows whether the writing will be garbage? I expect the execution to be good one way or another though.
Lycoris Recoil's writer did Ben-To which was fun. It also has an actual black character who is japanese and not a caricature which stands out to me a lot because it's incredibly rare. I think the two protags in the trailer remind me of the two SSSS Gridman girls but I can't find any key artists shared across them.
Made in Abyss is back for a second season. I might rewatch the first season or check out the recap movies to prepare.
I don't know much about anything else airing this season
