LinkedIn is by far the most intrusive and shameless of all corporate social media in its efforts to identify you, which is saying something. I once logged onto a fresh LinkedIn account with a throwaway email and a burner number from within a VM which was itself running through a VPN. It still recommended I add my coworker. I don’t know how but it freaked me the fuck out.
Yeah no joke. I use a vpn on my computer and another on my router itself that hops to a different IP several times a day. That seems to keep it at bay but honestly who know?
