She asked me “what do you like to do for fun” and I said “ever hear of Hexbear.net?” She just stared at me.

“Oh yeah well it’s like this really niche communist website. Actually ever hear of the podcast Chapo Trap House? So it started out as the subreddit for the podcast, but the podcast hated the subreddit actually, then we got banned for saying slaveowners should be killed. So then we were on discord for a while and then we moved to our own website where we had endless struggle sessions about China and John Kerry. Yeah it’s like this terminally online communist website for people who would be posting on Twitter or Reddit except they hate Twitter and Reddit so they post there. Also it’s communist. Did I mention I’m a communist?”

She called me a liberal and told me to read theory, then made me pay for her dinner for being a “PMC labor aristocrat cosplaying at revolution” before walking out on me. Sucks man. Then the waiter tried to redpill me on the manosphere.

One time this happened to me at Target. I was going through the checkout line, and the lady goes "That will be $88.49 sir." I leaned in real close and go "hey, by the way, I'm a communist. I support the workers." She just looks at me and goes "Sir, you need to pay." So I go

"Look, I'm not one of those PatSoc freaks who believes retail workers aren't real workers. PatSoc. You know, like Haz? Here, I'll show you a video. Man, I remember when he was posting on Hexbear. Have you ever been on Hexbear? Oh, you'd love it, lots of pro-worker content on there. Yeah Haz actually used to post there for a while shilling his videos, but he was kicked out. Now he's got a following on Twitter but it's mostly just a bunch of terminally online weirdos with no impact on the real world. Of course there was all that drama with Jackson Hinkle and CPUSA. Oh yeah, CPUSA is the Communist Party USA. A lot of people say it's all feds but there are some good Hexbear comrades in there. Yeah, if you're trying to join an org you should look into it. Do you have a Twitter account?"

She just kept saying "Sir, you need to pay for your Funko Pops" over and over and over. Wouldn't even watch the video. Eventually I just gave up and paid.
