oh wait, you're serious
:data-laughing:
At this point if I see someone waving the US flag I just assume they're a fascist and avoid them
ahahha this is like the lib opposition here in hungary awkwardly singing the anthem at the end of every protest because they desperately fear being labelled traitors. they're labelled traitors anyway.
well, back when they used to protest.
Most of them burn up in a couple seconds from being made of the cheapest fabric they can get away with too.
As far as I've seen they're mostly made of weird synthetic material that basically can't catch fire.
Is there anything more American than making a flag out of cheap plastic?
this is like a Clinton-era take, every Democratic politician thinks and does this exact idea
Just two politicians, wrapping themselves in the American flag, standing at the head of crowds of painfully white looking car dealership owners in rivalrous red and blue "MAGA" hats scream at one another from across an imaginary line.
when people hear the word "bipartisan", in any context, this is what they should imagine and make decisions from accordingly.
This is the proper usage of the AmeriKKKan flag:
:amerikkka: :liberty-weeping: :stalin-gun-1::stalin-gun-2:
The right wants to kill or oppress minorities and Democrats
I know, let’s reclaim ownership over a symbol of fascism!
It’s was nice knowing yall :agony-minion:
cuba's flag had only a couple decades of neocolonialism on it, not 2 centuries of blood
stop blasting everyone with a symbol of oppression
that's the point. if we admit symbols have power and association, the US flag is a symbol of bad shit. change it and you're ending the immediate association. it doesn't make immediate material difference but thats not the point? its identifying the new state's or movements intention to break from the old
When you are no longer satisfied of merely licking the boot and start uncontrollably sucking it.
