    Union leaders can be complete cucks, sorry about that. Like UAW can be bad. But then on the other hand you have new reps getting elected in UAW that are far more militant, or the longshoremens union who can be total heroes.

    Also, if you're totally unhappy with your union you can always dual card with IWW! It's far more militant, depends on the chapter I guess.

        Yeah the longshoremens union is awesome. Love ILWU.

        Which, btw, is probably why the port of LA is still backed up. Because they don't want anymore unionized and militant employees, they'd rather risk treat delivery. You ever see the ridiculous process to get hired at a port? You have to work casually for years (while maintaining another job) and then you get to enter a lottery to apply for a job and be considered.

        Easiest thing they could do right now is just hire on all those already experienced people who work casually as full timers and speed up throughput. But then they'd be ILWU, and capital really doesn't like that.
