I gotta hand it to the Avakian folk for always finding where the cameras are pointing. They're good at scaring the hell out of chuds too. Remember when they were supposed to do some kind of antifa pogrom to murder white parents in the town square?

They're incredibly weird otherwise. You can always spot them at protests or demonstratioms because they're the only ones asking for email addresses with a clipboard. Also they all took the same graphic design classes

I had a long weird chat at a protest with a lady who really wanted me to believe bob avakian is a new mao or whatever. They're not sending their best, that's for sure.

Is asking for email addresses at protests weird? My org does that so when we have upcoming actions/picnics/poli ed readings we can invite activists who might be interested.

He's a guy with a big ego that wormed his way into the Revolutionary Communist Party USA way back in the 70s. The party was part of the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement and made some decent contributions, even after Avakian worked his way into the leadership. Once he became leader of the RCP-USA however, it started degenerating because Avakian was pushing his "New Synthesis" theory aka some idealist bullshit. The party shrank and essentially became a cult as all the proper Marxists and communists got out leaving only the ones most devoted to Avakian. Now it's just a bunch of cranks and weirdos pushing Avakianism

It’s true that rise up banks on bringing in younger people who are super new to politics and activism to engage in die ins and other stunts for the media. They don’t even do that good of a job hiding that it’s a front org for The RCP.

I didn't read the whole article because it's clearly a intercept centrist hit piece.

I do find it odd that ryan grimm did that huge article on the "left", he meant lib, organizations being in complete disarray a few weeks ago and now they are attacking this movement that is clearly young people.

The grift is up. And the libs are mad that the ground is shifting out from under them.

"Talia Jane, an independent reporter who covers extremism and activism, has compared the Revcoms and their new offshoot to a multilevel marketing, or MLM, scam."

The MLM - MLM connection :screm:

Article makes it sound more like she was being put on the spot and just kinda said what she was being prompted to, but Idk if I trust the Intercept's interpretation or not.

These people ran the march in my city. Every socialist group and abortion rights group were confused to how this group became so organized
