      I believe it was the French tradition that they were just " extra days" .

      Just 5 or 6 holiday days in a row, party days

        I am currently reading a book on the Terror, apparently those 5 days are not all holidays, which actually pissed people off at the time.

            For another L, a 10 day week meant for a lot of people more work days per each rest day. Really if we want to fuck with the calendar we'll have to throw out this capitalism thing first.

              Putting on my Richard Wolff hat and proposing a system in which we identify how much we need for the year and only work as many days as it is necessary to produce that much, rather than building up a massive wasted surplus.
