If Stalin gave the order to support the U.S. war effort, he was a fool. In any case, the old vanguards’ support should have been for the people’s struggle inside the U.S.
With a little more patience and sacrifice, Stalin could have eventually marched to the Atlantic. With all of Europe in ruins and the German economy already in its final stages of disintegration with the U.S. presence in Europe, capitalism could be dead today. Instead, U.S. imperalism rose to behemoth proportions.
George Jackson
Also gotta consider what Soviet soldiers wanted. I'm sure the Soviet Union consulted with the soldiers on many things and probably found that ending the war was the way to go. What good is launching a global revolution if no one is going to fight for it?
That's fair, I kinda doubt that the Red Army would have so readily ground over the Allies after everything it took to reach Berlin. At the same time, you can understand how George would have appealed to the Soviets to make that sacrifice, how these thoughts would have entered his mind while he tried to sleep in one of Soledad's "strip cells".
Yeah idk about Huey, I've heard some conflicting things about him and Fay Stender and haven't looked into it closely enough.
I think the modern branch and theorist to check out is the Revolutionary Intercommunal BPP and Kevin "Rashid" Johnson
Lol yeah that's a pretty dead giveaway. I figure any legitimate successor to the BPP has to be way more focused on prison organizing than larping
Edit: here's the RIBPP CC on the split

the right-wing coups of 1989 were an unmitigated disaster for the world
