They wouldn’t get that handle though. It’s kinda like reddit’s / r/coolbiden or bidenbro (whatever it was called), subreddit with biden in sunglasses in 2017 (?). It’s obviously botted/done by someone for a purpose. (conversely pete sub seems to be real people)

lol, no really. I have known people like this in real life. I have known people that actually wanted to vote for Biden. Think about what kind of :brainworms: that requires. You should have seen their facebook feed after HRC lost. You'd have thought this person just learned Russia existed.

edit: I just looked at their fb, and while I can't see their feed because we're not friends anymore, their cover image is "VOTE and tell them Ruth sent you."

I know a few people in real life who post things like this on Facebook etc. Just cultists for Biden the same way people are for Trump. Anything that can be spun as good = "thank you Mr President sir!". Anything bad is out of his control and usually the fault of Trump voters.

I call it the "Trump hangover". These people, many for the first time in their lives, were wrong about something. Trump's election really upset the whole apple cart. Hillary was clearly in the wrong. They re-did the debates with a man speaking Hillary's words and a woman speaking Trump's and divorced from Trump himself, suddenly it all made sense. And it was horrible. It caused crippling cognitive dissonance, which is highly damaging to the human psyche.

And so these people need to be right. Need to be right. About something, anything. Biden will do just fine. But they hurt, and hurt bad, and it's not going away no matter how many times they ban people for saying "Let's go Brandon".

Whoa I hadn't heard of or seen any of "Her Opponent" you hinted at and it was wild. Actress NAILS resting Trump face. Impressive performance from both of the leads, really.

Yeah. People were bawling their eyes out afterwards. Suddenly it all made sense, and they were wrong. For the first time, they saw that Hillary was a piece of shit and they could understand what Trump was saying to the American people. These people had never considered themselves wrong about anything in their lives, ever. Their political opinions were always correct. Being forced to admit wrong did tremendous damage.

Can you elaborate about that? I wasn't aware that a bunch of liberals realized Hillary was wrong in the debates. Once it was Trump vs. Hillary I really didn't watch the debates.

I remember hearing that Trump was basically saying a bunch of fake good shit and promising all kinds of good things to beat Clinton who was just saying we'd have to do neoliberalism - but I never heard the specifics.

They didn't realize it until after the election. Their hate for Trump was so great they automatically disagreed with whatever he said, and fervently agreed with what Clinton said, no matter how dumb it was. When Trump's words were divorced from his person and put into the mouth of a woman, suddenly the libs saw what they had been missing. It was devastating.

Pretending it's not because they kicked a shitload of people off unemployment to polish the number, which is already falsified because it doesn't include people who have stopped looking for work, pretending it's because 96.4% of people now have a job...

Things are this shitty, poverty is this widespread, people are this sick and hungry, under what we're supposed to believe are ideal circumstances? Sounds like a fucking dead-end methodology to me.
