    It feels some kind of way knowing i've been reading guys like Hedges my entire adult life, people who knew exactly what was coming and how, people screaming from the rooftops, and yet here we are.

      hedges clearly suffers from PTSD from his war reporting in the balkans in the 1990s. PTSD makes you catastrophize everything. you can see how he constantly does that with politics.

      i still mostly enjoy his work but it's worth recognizing that he is somewhat hysterical usually.

      also he argued with anarchists over political violence and property destruction, which was very annoying.
