he also owns his own record label and profits off the labor of other artists and has people working under him. that and using homophobic punches during battle raps was pretty common in the 90s and 00s and a lot that stuff goes hand in hand with getting clout in the rap industry, which has a lot of reactionary aspects to it, which imo doesn't discount the critiques he's made in his songs over the years but the dude is a bit of a walking contradiction as a result. i still listen to some of his shit selectively
