Imo starting strength is a badly designed program by a shitty texan, pretty much anything works when you never worked out before but not including AMAP is just a bad idea imo. I also strongly dislike the starting strength crowd because of just how fucking orthodox they are when it comes to modifications. As far as getting your ass into gear I think this could be an interesting read for you to navigate some stuff easier
