I believe they'd frequently show American propaganda immediately followed by reports basically refuting what the propaganda was saying. Doesn't seem like a bad idea, Reactionary Propaganda is gonna weed its way into your country (the forces of reaction control all of the most profitable media apparatuses in the world) and cults will form around it whether you decide to tackle the misinformation head on. Look at Falun Gong, NK defectors who want to go back and no long can, etc. None of these are organic home grown movements.
