My grandma use to make something similar, we still have the recipe but can't make it becuase frying all those spices and chilli peppers makes the air inside the apartment really spicy for like three days. She lived in rural China so she could cook a years supply all at once in a giant outdoor wok. I have to buy the bottled chilli crisp and add szechuan peppercorn oil to it.
