Chilling at a cabin on a small lake and there are so many goddamn boaters out getting way too close to the shore, the docks, and people in the water. In the last 20 minutes I've seen THREE tubers almost get run over by these petty bourgeois psychos who feel the need to zoom around as much of this tiny ass lake as they possibly can as fast as they can and put everyone else at risk.

We were out on the lake for like 20 minutes before deciding there are too many people out and someone's gonna get hurt. Cabin people are fuckin insane

you're right to be concerned, the first-base coach for the blue jays lost his 17 old daughter that way like two weeks ago. she was tubing and the boater wasn't careful picking her up, ran over her with the engine still on and killed her :(

in general people who drive speedboats all seem to have no conception that someone could get hurt, and drive accordingly

They only recently, last 10-20 years or so, started giving DUIs for driving a boat drunk in a lot of states.

Every summer fox lake and chain o lakes in il would have several fatalities. Driver was always drunk blacked out and smashed into apier or the shore.

          Boats are for alcoholics.

Conceptualizing how your actions affect other people is literally impossible for most Americans. Like trying to imagine life in the 7th dimension.

They're absurdly dangerous but treated as a fun toy to be enjoyed while drunk off your ass.
