my roommate lets her spoiled ass dachshund sit right beside her (or in her lap) as she's eating and will not blink if he starts licking her bowl/plate/arms unless someone's actively watching them lol so yes. it is gross and 100% why I refuse to even let him near me when I'm handling food - I'm not contributing to that behavior
