    idk I'm not a gun guy, googling it it looks like the term would be a pepper-gun, but that in itself is a subset of volley guns

    also holy shit Leonardo da Vinci designed some such 'organ' guns

    I guess that shouldn't surprise me since he lived when gunpowder was a thing but I guess I just figured gunpowder warfare wasn't as big of a deal in Europe for another hundred years or so

      The french actually had artillery pieces as early as the 14th century (~1326) and canons were incredibly impactful during the 100 years war (1337–1453)

      Leonardo comes in to dick around with them more than a century after they had already became part of conventional warfare.
