what kind of ass backwards logic is this, oh you want a vaccination to prevent a disease? Sorry, unless you're engaging in super risky gay sex or literally already exposed to it, no can do sweaty

I just. idk what to say about this. It's breaking my fucking brain knowing there are people who are paid lots of money for these incredibly stupid decisions that will literally just get people who could have otherwise sought protection needlessly infected and/or maimed and/or killed.

are they like fucking worried they'll run out of vaccines, after seeing how people reacted to fucking covid vaccination?

I can't speak for America but UK cases are 98% men who have sex with men.

It makes sense to target them specifically. The only concern I have with it over here is that they don't hedge their message enough in "this is not a gay disease straight people can and will catch it too, be careful" messaging.

they're weren't testing anyone else, they barely got started now and are already finding a shit ton of cases in other demographics.

I don't think that's the case here. Anyone with symptoms has been getting tested for a while, we have a free health service though so the difference is understandable.

idk makes more sense to me to let whoever wants a vaccine get one when you know already that compliance for mandatory vaccination will be an issue in the future if and when it becomes necessary (which if it keeps doubling every week, uh, yeah). The only way to deal with pandemics and is to actually try to stop transmission, we need quarantines, contact tracing, and vaccination, and not just for gay men because it can and will infect people regardless of sexual orientation or activity.

also is the UK doing that thing where they're making it difficult to even get tested unless you are a gay man, thereby causing a selection bias where it looks like it's spreading only in gay men, or is that just america doing that

No, anyone with symptoms would see their local GP and then get sent for testing by that GP.

There apparently just isn't enough supply right now, at least not where i live myself. There is a vaccine waitlist. I think we really should Vax groups who are at the highest risk of transmission first when supply is low. I was able to get tested in America without specifying that I was bi.

        Be careful out there though
