The old men that sign up for this cheesecake factory of a religion would be so susceptible to radicalization if they weren't explicitly against materialism.

I want to use their giant lodges for good! They're so fucking huge inside! And the stolen islamic motifs are a bit cringe but I want to rave there anyway.

In reality probably not that hard to pull off. I hear their membership was hit hard by covid and now it’s a lot of lonely older men just looking for drinking buddies.

This is what I'm saying, ~15 principled young men could gain control of a 50,000 square foot temple in multiple cities.

Some rites take women now too, maybe even most of them idk. So even easier to hit the threshold.

It would actually be really funny to just hijack a lodge so the conspiracy theories about the masons would partly become true.

I'd be a hilarious bit; and keeping it a buck? I've always wanted to steal one of those gaudy-ass ostentatious rings just to be able to say I robbed a Mason.

So you mind if I inquire as to how one goes from “one dollar” to “one dollar equals honest”? Is it an extension of a “penny for your thoughts”?

                  stab in the dark but i'd figure it's "buck" > "1.00" > "100"

so another way of saying "keeping it 100 (% honest)"

Y'know, I like the 'penny for your thoughts' angle, but I think the etymology for that tracks from 'keep it 100' as in 100%. Or, a buck.

It's really boater Illuminati. These guys are rich enough to have some influence in their communities, but it's not like everyone's in their pockets - usually. They'll still have to go around campaigning and fudging books, and because they're wannabe bourgeoisie, they likely hire failsons or the high schooler they're sleeping with. If they're influential enough they may eventually reach the governor who usually has more national clout, but I imagine the dentist is more comfortable with reigning over his own community than the nation.
