Go on, post it in the comments and then post your reaction when I reveal that the speed limit for both roads is

spoiler

55 mph. This is just willful malice by the designers at this point right? They want people to die?

Too easy. I saw it was in California and added 20mph, thus nailing it.

Is this even a stroad? In Sydney this would be a major transport artery one step down from a freeway.

That's the beauty of White Lane in Bakersfield: not only is it major arterial road, but it also has street parking and driveways to homes on it!

The only roads I can think of that are remotely like this are Paramatta Rd (mostly no houses but abhorred by all forms of life) and Pennant Hills Road (Considered to be in violation of several UN resolutions on crimes against humanity).

Neither are as bad as this.

    80km/h

huh, only a few more km above what I expected, guess I've gotten rather familiar with American traffic design

I'm reminded that when covid cleared up road traffic, fatalities went up because, as not just bikes noted, the only reason roads aren't killing us more is because they're so badly designed no one can get anywhere fast enough to be lethal.

    Please God be 35

Good gravy, I count 6 lanes of cars going from the right.

Looks like 60km/h to me, or slightly under 40 miles for Americans.

    Oh, 55 miles. That’s almost 90kmh.

I guessed it exactly lol. There's a road not unlike this relatively near me that I've driven on a fair amount because it's the way to my dad's mechanic, and it has a 50 mph speed limit plus occasional stoplights.
