Matt Taibi was on Bill Maher’s HBO show defending Pelosi saying what she did is cool and principled because China is a “human rights violator” and it’s “worth taking a stance sometimes.”
And it’s because of the “donors” with commercial interests in China that most politicians are reluctant to speak out.

I hope the sanctions have at least some material consequence.

It's okay to go on Bill Maher but only if you make a good faith effort to make Bill cry or say the N word.
