yeah I know we aren’t big Israel supporters here, but the info is important to make the point that it’s not purely an STD

Oh my fucking god. They haven't vaccinated medical staff?

Jesus fucking christ the medical profession is already in full meltdown and it's very clear what will happen when nurses and doctors can't work for an entire month because they've all got fucking monkeypox.

I deeply regret entering the field but I have literally nothing left, changing professions at this point would be a waste of all my effort up until now and make these student loans meaningless and even more impossible to pay off. 35/hr is enough for me to pay these loans off, but I just don't give a damn anymore. I wish I had that naïveté from nursing school that hoped to help people and make lives better. If I am to die, let it be after the predatory private loans are gone so my mother doesn't have to keep paying.

you could always try to flee to China, since you're a skilled worker and they're always gonna need more nurses and might actually give you working conditions that prioritize your safety

you probably wouldn't get paid as well but you could also stop paying those U.S. blood loans

apparently supplies are limited at least for the actual Jynneos monkeypox vaccine (idk how efficacious the smallpox vaccine is against it) in part because the U.S. let millions of doses expire a few years ago and then never ordered any more
