Being capital-C-Catholic is just about drinking red wine, have a natural tan, being nominally sexually repressed but very sexual at the same time, and keeping contact with your parents.

Christianity is so weird idk how anybody can be like "yeah Catholicism/baptism/whateverism is the one true religion" when there were like 40 flavors of christianity that preceded all that anyway

I'm usually pretty up on stuff, having been raised in church, but nearly 100% of that image is new to me.

dude there's so much that's happened between 0AD and now that it's just wack, like even before protestantism there was so much variation in theological thought within christianity I can't even understand a fraction of it

like Marcionism which preached about how Jesus was an entirely new god, and that the creator god of the old testament, "the Demiurge," was actually evil (which tbh tracks because he sounds like a massive prick). And then even that had its own schism.

That's just gnosticism trying to tackle itself onto Christianity when it was on the rise.

Bro how can someone be both fully divine and fully human at the same time. What the fuck is a Filioque.

The only other contenders are orthodox or coptic and they are all the same age. Protestants all split from the Catholic Church. They're always younger.

        the organization, yeah

but it took a while to get the theology worked out to what we have now

Fair point, but you can't really join a church of any of the other ones anymore, so the oldest one standing is Catholicism. In general I think it's a dumb own to say there's a bunch of different kind Christians, or religions in general, and how people act like finding the original would be best.
