Castile soap is an olive oil based hard soap made in a style similar to that originating in the Castile region of Spain. The origins of Castile soap go back to the Levant, where Aleppo soap-makers have made hard soaps based on olive and laurel oil for millennia. Early soap-makers in the Mediterranean area did not have easy access to laurel oil and therefore dropped it from their formulations, thereby creating an olive-oil soap now known as Castile soap.
In the 17th century, the soap caused controversy in England, since it supplanted the unnamed local soap after the Spanish Catholic manufacturers purchased the monopoly on the soap from the cash-strapped Carolinian government. Its ties to Catholicism caused a public-relations campaign to be established, featuring washerwomen showing how much more effective local soaps were than Castile soap. The sale of a monopoly in Protestant England to a Catholic company caused a great uproar, ending with the Castile soap company eventually being stripped of the monopoly.
Nabulsi soap is a type of castile soap produced only in Nablus in the West Bank, Palestine. Its chief ingredients are virgin olive oil (the main agricultural product of the region), water, and an alkaline sodium compound. The finished product is ivory-colored and has almost no scent. Traditionally made by women for household use, it had become a significant industry for Nablus by the 14th century. In 1907 the city's 30 Nabulsi soap factories were supplying half the soap in Palestine. Project Hope and other local non-governmental organizations market the soap in the West to raise funds for their other community projects.

Idk, as an old-head, its good to see the community scrap once in awhile. Gives the mods a chance to clean out some of the garbage that has been accumulated due to neglect. The Mega v.s. Ukraine thread posting cultures were bound to come to conflict at some point, it just happened to be on your post.
Although, to be even more of a pedantic fuck than BE, what you posted isn't YouTube drama per se, as it wasn't drama between obscure YouTube personalities, which I am happy to say doesn't cause struggle sessions here outside of flushing out Vaushposters. Instead, it was an obscure leftist YouTuber critiquing a celebrity who just so happens to be one of Ukraine megathreads hexbear heros of the moment. Basically, the perfect bait for conflict. Now, I don't think you meant to do it, but it's pretty much a perfect bait because of the disdain that the Ukraine megathread has for any left wing YouTuber, let alone one that is critiquing their designated celebrity of the month.
It's like me and any post having to do with the Brooklyn arts scene. I just love to shit on it.
I honestly don't like conflict on this site, being that it is one of the only places on the internet that doesn't make my blood pressure rise constantly with dumb takes. So it makes me really sad to have orchestrated a fight by accident, however imminent it was. I still stand by my opinion that BE deserved to get dunked on, but had I known that a part of the users of this site don't agree with my views, I just wouldn't have posted.
Agreed for the blood pressure part. However if you want a little posting wisdom, it's that these sites are inherently like this. Cultural circle-jerks that inevitably come into conflict in certain areas over certain spaces, leftist YouTubers being one of the big sticking points that will never go away because of how trivial it is for them to make content to comment on.
Sometimes you can pick the battle, but most of the time if you're not a sociopath these things will just crop up naturally. OP for this mega is being over-dramatic as fuck towards you and the ideas around 'anti-secterianism' in general (though not about the whole SA ick, mods need to get on that). Ultimately, it doesn't matter that much. It's just a shit posting website.
I'll keep this in mind, thanks for the advice
I love seeing people shit on brooklyn sign ne up
