My 4yo asked me last week why I mostly drink coffee abd beer. You know why. We're not alone.
Even here, I've seen people discussing certain groups of parents only drinking coffee and beer, acting as if some liberal great self pushed them in this direction. Only through a material analysis can we see this is a result of children sharing beverages with parents. :zizek-preference:

I also drink predominantly coffee and beer - but hadn't really thought about why. When I drink water it's not enjoyed - just poured and drank immediately.
This explanation is resonating with me.
