okay so, in 1997 Bandai released a series of portable virtual pet devices called Digimon,
It was a children's show in the 90s, I don't remember it very well but I do remember finding it a bit disturbing. The animation was unusual in that they basically did the early South Park "construction paper dolls" animation style but with black and white photos of children (I'm pretty sure this is why it was disturbing).
We're definitely more like Reboot
