US Government retracts allegation that Kapolei couple lived under false aliases

This combination of undated photos provided by the United States District Court District of Hawaii shows Walter Glenn Primose, left, also known as Bobby Edward Fort, and his wife Gwynn Darle Morrison, also known as Julie Lyn Montague, purportedly in KGB, the former Russian spy agency, uniforms. Primose, a U.S. defense contractor, and Morrison, who lived for decades under the identities of two dead Texas children, have been charged with identity theft and conspiring against the government, according to federal court records unsealed in Honolulu. The couple were arrested Friday, July 22, 2022, in Kapolei on the island of Oahu.

And no one who arrested them will even get tested for :brainworms:

So like, what's the deal with the dead children's names here? Seems like that'd be easy to verify if it happened.

Two individuals have said that those references were nicknames for Walter Primrose and Gwynn Morrison and some of them were the product of inside jokes in relation to Primrose and Morrison

Kinda weird nicknames. But if that’s true, lol.

And if it’s not, maybe they’re just making up some dumb lie to justify dropping the case cuz maybe these two were double agents or something. And the prosecutor who charged them didn’t know that, and then needed an excuse to stop the charges once someone told them. Idk the whole case is weird.

It would be funny if they were double agents though, and Russia find out and tried to get US prosecutors to jail them for being Russian does when they were actually working for the US. That’s what almost seems like the likely scenario now.
