      frankly not too dissimilar, though to their credit they were at least pushing back on fash talking points rather than regurgitating them

      they just had a very "this shit is dumb but you're not allowed to spread fash talking points" attitude - in retrospect, i suppose you could charitably read it as an attempt to win over the "non-political" audience members, but it sat poorly all the same

          oh for sure, i only meant that in a charitable reading you could interpret their posture as an attempt to stave off attacks of "caring too much," but their attitude rubbed the wrong way regardless of their intent, whatever it may have been
