Yeah honestly, inhalants are one of the only drugs I know of where the harm reduction guidelines are basically just "don't do them". They're really dangerous and there's no real way to make them less dangerous
This is true for things like paint thinner and glue, but nitrous is pretty safe overall. It's what you get at the dentist for chrissakes. The biggest danger is actually b12 deficiency, but that only happens if one does them regularly.
The problem is that the nitrous oxide inhibits your body's ability to metabolize b12, from my understanding. So you can supplement all you want, but it won't do any good after the fact. However, if you're planning on doing whippets (esp over a several day period) it can be a good idea to supplement on b12 for a few days beforehand.
