Doesn’t Wendy’s have the same deal tho? Or can they just afford to do it since they’re already so large
They'd just have more distribution centers. I work in a nationwide chain restaurant and we don't have a freezer, but our trucks don't need to come from very far away.
I think they can just afford it, and they also franchise which really speeds things up and comes with a whole set of pros/cons. In-n-out is privately held, their quality of product and service is better than Wendy's, but when it comes to expansion they actually need to put in work to maintain that level and not let it slip (then they're just average and lose 100% of their marketing strategy. It's gonna be slow.
