              Sure. But so much of this "WTYP hates the soviets!" came out of a pair of episodes in which they very legitimately lambasted Nicolae Ceaușescu and the Nedelin catastrophe.

              The theory that anyone on the show is a neoliberal or any kind of post-Soviet Reformist Stan is absurd.

                  In the context of the episode, that was wildly overstated.

                  In a broader sense, Adam Something's claim to fame mostly seems to revolve around dunking on the debauched clusterfuck that is Middle Eastern oligarchies. The "he's a fascist!" shit is rooted in the Ukraine/Russia conflict. And - much like with Zizek, another Eastern European looking askance at nationalists in modern Russia butting heads with neoliberals in the West disturbingly close to his home state - the term fascism seems to get pitched out by people in the imperial core at people in the satraps who are genuinely concerned for their lives.

          That's a pretty convenient thought terminating cliche to imply there's no valid criticism of, say, Stalin killing a million (frequently random innocent) people turning the Bolsheviks from a political party to a Stalin party.

                      I wish if you were going to be such a lib with your uncritical defense of the early soviet union, you would at least take as much effort as an alcoholic boomer puts into knowing the specifics of their sports team
