  • Unlearnign Economics' take on LTV is so frustrating because to me it just sounds like he's going "nuh uh labour is just one thing that makes things valuable it's in no way at all the PRIMARY thing" which seems to me like he's using ridiculous abstractions like his idea of "if you went to a concert and paid money you necessarily paid for all the equipment that ran the concert and the labour is just a part of that" which is infuriating because like.......... ??? / ?? ?? /? /? what? ?? what about the labour that it took to create the equipment and set it up? why would any of it exist at all if labour didn't exist?? ? ?? thoroughly sidestepping all the philosophical work Marx did to show what IS the primary thing and going "no sweaty it's just a part of it" and doing some graphs and maths and your own holey philosophy. but i'm not smart enough to put together anything more than a vibes based annoyance so its whatever

just ridiculous contrarian shit to me

  • i was trying to figure out why i was so annoyed but i realise if i had to do even 4 different printed revisions and also if his last concept was the best I had in me and ALSO if it needed to be such an exotic material to be strong enough i would think i finally have lost the plot. also he doesnt even add a handle to the other end and keeps the shitlord recessed handhold ?? and also can't figure out or envision making it a permanent fixture and makes it semi-permanent when the concept was originally meant to be as easy as a snap fit? and designs the snap fit in like 6 different shitty ways before changing the design in the most half assed way possible? and ,,,, 500,000 views?? this is your hero?????

had this saved for a year and only now read Blindsight. excellent. one of the many ideas it made me realise is that i should meditate more often and step out of my mind a bit more physically

  • my politics evolved while listening to WTYP backlog (i started when they were at like episode 50) and by the time i caught up i was thoroughly disgusted at how much it declined and how surface level their communist ideals are. particularly alice. holy fuck. at least Liam doesn't pretend to be this all-knowing political wunderkind

  • some of them are just obscure and i only heard of their artists and that they were a big thing (big enough to be suppressed and harassed) from this book "The Folk Singers and the Bureau" and others arent quite labor/communist songs but i just think are neat like "The Dying Cowboy" and "Farewell Angelina" theyre absolute heart-renders. some are only on there because theyre a bit different but i wouldnt call them good and they only barely fit the style like "Coal Miner's Daughter" by far my least fav
