      I'm not saying it's the most likely timeline but it feels like maybe #2 or #3 in terms of likelihood. Fascism will attempt to appropriate any signifiers that resonate with a large number of people. And liberals love to play dumb when it lets them trash the left. I'm getting myself mentally and emotionally prepared.

      I was pretty sure earlier this year that American rightoids would start en masse using "The N-Word" exclusively for "Nazi", tilting the euphemism treadmill in a really weird angle

      They still might! The only thing that stopped them was lib media shutting up about Nazis in Ukraine and elsewhere
