Hey gang, the channel is in a bit of a tough spot right now. If you're in a position to help keep this operation afloat, please consider becoming a patron on...
It's a real shame that he's losing money. YouTube sucks.
I looked into it and his Patreon has 6244 members, with a minimum paid tier of $2/month. That's at least about 12k a month (16k if you assume around 20% are paying for the $5 tier). Subtracting production costs and splitting with other people involved in the production (not sure if any), that doesn't leave a huge amount. He might have one of the few Patreons that's actually worth chipping in.
Yeah, I wonder what will happen if it doesn’t get better. JT has pretty low employment opportunities because of his wide political speech, so even if he goes freelance on editing and photography it may still be not enough
It's a tough position to be in because YouTube doesn't last forever, everyone has their 15 minutes and they'll be done eventually. I'm sure he can still survive and if he's smart he'll have put some of the revenue from the most successful months of the channel into something that could supplement his finances for life, but he does have a family. Idk, feels weird to speculate about a random internet guy's finances so I'll cut it there. If you're already chipping in an amount you feel comfortable with for people in the direst need of mutual aid, and have some more to give, maybe it's worth thinking about this great channel.
