I know colonizer larping, but at least I get a relatively honest vibe from Townsends. Like his interest in colonial history only really seems to extend to just the day to day life, rather than a focus on the colonial aspect of it. He did do a number of cooking videos in regards to the life and food of the enslaved, and is very honest about the fact that Washington was a slave-owner.
Guess just saying that there could be far worse out there for historical interpretation, though I think that's cause he doesn't explicitly get political, so lord knows if he's got chud views or not.
I got no reason to think he's a bad dude, he's honest about the history and otherwise the worst thing he does afaik is being a business owner
Also he made a video telling libs to shut the fuck up because they kept filling his Orange Fool video comments with :cheeto-man: jokes
He's spoken about the separation of town and country before without using explicit terms. At the very least he's a political progressive.
Colonizer larp aside, Townsends has tons of good videos about low tech solutions to everyday problems.
love Townsends, very good channel imo , lots of useful information! I like the lathe they built out of wood and bark, very neat design. I'm a big fan of low technology videos, like this, or when a primitive tech channel makes a forge out of mud and smelts iron or something, very fun to watch.
