The question is "If up is down and short is long, what is purple?"
the choices are:
a: red, short wavelengths become long
b: indeterminate, up and down being equivalent means at least one spatial dimension has disappeared, compressing mater into disks that will collapse into black holes and also changes electrodynamics
c: logical contradiction, the universe ceases to exist and there is no purple
d: just wait for the drugs to wear off.

I think d has to be a trick answer, since it is too obvious. But I don't remember the lectures covering logical non-existence or 2D universes.

You're probably right, b is the answer. Just as the eggs in an omelette take on a semi-2D representation at the bottom of a pan, a universe this contradictory and complex will fry into a 2D mess.
