What stands out to me is that all these new jobs are in the service sector. I was listening to a podcast yesterday where an economist said that research has shown that industrial sector is much better at creating jobs than service for the same level of investment. Western economy feels unsustainable because a signficant portion of what its about is distribution of the surplus value from the global south. US tried to invest in industry with the CHIPS act shit but it failed miserably.
